چکیده
* [email protected] Abstract The Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS) has just constructed and commissioned a 500 MeV booster synchrotron to be used as injector for the 1.37 GeV electron storage ring. The booster has been constructed inside the storage ring, where the constraints in space are very tight. For this reason, the booster dipoles were made as small as possible, i.e., with small curvature radius (magnetic field of 1.6 T) and appreciable fringe field effects. In this report we present the results for the characterization of these magnets and simulation of their effects on the booster optics.

Septum and Kicker Pulsers for the LNLS 500-MeV Booster Synchrotron
Brazilian National Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS) has commissioned its new 500-MeV booster synchrotron injector. In this paper we present an overview of the septum and kicker pulse circuits now in operation. Half-sine wave septum current pulses range from 6.1 kA to 7.3 kA with widths around 80 μs. Injection and extraction kicker circuits are capable of delivering currents up to 650 A and 1...

Magnet Pole Design CANDLE booster synchrotron magnetic lattice contains 48 dipoles of H-shape. Detailed magnetic and mechanical design of those magnets is performed within the framework of the project. In this report, the design considerations of the dipole magnet, including the magnetic field simulation is presented. The results of the numerical simulation are compared with the magnetic field ...

We present results of the commissioning of a new injector for the Brazilian Synchrotron Light Source. The new injector consists of the existing 125-MeV LINAC and a new 500-MeV booster synchrotron. At present, about 40 mA can be injected into the booster and about 15 mA can be ramped up to 500 MeV at a repetition rate of 0.17 Hz. The new injector has allowed the accumulation of up to 540 mA in t...

Iranian Light Source Facility (ILSF) is a new 3 GeV synchrotron radiation laboratory in the Middle East. The ILSF storage ring (SR) is based on a Five-Bend Achromat lattice, providing a beam emittance of 0.48 nm rad. The ring is consisting of 100 pure dipole, 320 quadrupole and 320 sextupole magnets. In this paper, we present some design features of the SR magnets and discuss their detailed ph...
